Use in Cancer

Durvalumab is approved to treat:

  • Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It is used in patients with stage III NSCLC that cannot be removed by surgery and did not get worse after platinum chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
  • Urothelial carcinoma (a type of bladder cancer) that is locally advanced or has metastasized (spread to other parts of the body). It is used in patients whose disease got worse during or after treatment with platinum chemotherapy.

Durvalumab is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer.
