Use in Cancer

Fostamatinib disodium is approved to treat:

  • Thrombocytopenia (low platelet levels). It is used in adults with chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). ITP is a condition in which platelets are destroyed by the immune system. Fostamatinib disodium is used in certain patients with ITP who have not gotten better with other treatment.

Fostamatinib disodium is also being studied in the treatment of other conditions and types of cancer.
