Use in Cancer

Carfilzomib is approved to be used alone or with other drugs to treat:

  • Multiple myeloma.
    • It is used with lenalidomide and dexamethasone in patients whose disease has recurred (come back) and who have already received one to three other types of treatment.
    • It is used alone in patients whose disease has gotten worse during or after treatment with bortezomib and immunomodulator therapy.

Carfilzomib is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer.
